Say Media at Advertising Week: When a Blog Becomes a Brand
This year at Advertising Week in New York, the world's largest gathering of advertising, marketing and media executives, Say Media is hosting a panel at the Hard Rock Cafe on Thursday Sept 26. If you're in town and at the event, we hope you'll join us – it's going to be a good one:
When a Blog Becomes a Brand
Think blogs are a collection of small-time media sites? Think again. Plenty of people who started humble "blogs" have turned their sites into giant media brands - attracting huge communities of people who are passionate about content with a strong point of view. These digital brands are on the path to eclipsing traditional media in scale and engagement - and we're watching it happen in real time.
Meet four visionaries who have turned their unique points of view into enormously successful brands and are putting up big numbers to prove it. Introduced by Kim Kelleher, President of Say Media, and moderated by Manoush Zomorodi, host of WNYC's New Tech City, these entrepreneurs will talk about content, commerce, community, and why this really is the future of digital media.
Editors will include Emily Schuman of Cupcakes and Cashmere, Julie Carlson of Remodelista, Joy Wilson of Joy the Baker and Ben Bowers of Gear Patrol.
