Digital Shoreditch 2013: Highlights from the UK's Premier Tech Showcase
This year’s Digital Shoreditch Festival, the UK's premier tech showcase, celebrated the outstanding creative, technical and entrepreneurial talent of East London, Tech City, and the UK. More than 14,500 entrepreneurs and technology lovers turned out for the 12-day event, nearly twice as many as last year. Among the big trends this year were sessions on the quantified self, the rise of wearable technology like Fitbit and Google Glass, why owning stuff doesn't matter (hello, Spotify), and why mobile isn't the only solution – your brand should be wherever your customers are.
