Ten years ago this month the highly addictive killer app for xBox debuted called Halo: Combat Evolved. Since then millions of people have spent zillions of hours on the wildly popular game. So what better way to celebrate one of the best and most important games of the last 10 years than with a cutting edge 3D ad campaign?
Microsoft launched an industry-first campaign in Canada, leveraging SAY's AdFrames 3 platform, to create a customized 3D effect ad unit promoting the launch of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary. Players can engage with an interactive landscape that highlights the 3D effect of the game's latest version, explore the new game by checking out video previews, and see side-by-side comparisons of the original and re-mastered versions. They can also see what other Halo fans are saying on a live-streaming feed.
"The 3D effect of the ad really gives an in-game feeling that draws users into the Halo brand experience,” said Paul Cassar, vice president, Canada, SAY Media.
