Now in its fifth year, the event has become an important date for the UK’s most forward-thinking and pioneering industry minds, and our very own Troy Young will be taking to the stage at this highly-regarded conference. Joining a panel looking at ‘Community as Media’, Troy will be speaking alongside representatives from Mumsnet, (Beta) and TH_NK to discuss how we can successfully harness the power of social media, online communities and authentic communication to deliver effective brand engagement and increased ROI – something we talk a lot about here at SAY.
In fact, we’ve recently discussed the topic with the mediaguardian, in an article titled “Why winning friends is no longer enough to influence people”. Click through for the full article but as a quick summary, the piece runs through how the days of garnering retweets and Facebook likes being tantamount to success are over, and how deeper brand engagement based on authentic and influential voices driving conversation is now key.
We’re looking forward to furthering the discussion at the Changing Advertising Summit, and in unveiling some upcoming innovations from our team that will change the way consumers interact with content and how advertisers, in turn, engage consumers. Events such as these present a great opportunity to bounce ideas within the industry; why not join in the conversation and drop us a line @saymediainc?
Troy will be taking part in the ‘Community as Media’ panel running from 15.10 - 16.00 on Thursday 20th October
