Where: Marriott Marquis, NYC, 1535 Broadway at 7th (Times Square)

Dave will be doing a rapid-fire 7 minute onstage demo of Tempest which powers sites Say Media owns and partners with including ReadWrite, xoVain, Fashionista, LifetimeMoms and Not Impossible Now. Also onstage will be Mike Federle, COO or Forbes Media (a distributed publishing platform), Eli Dickinson, CTO and co-founder of Industry Drive (a mobile B2B publishing platform), and Charlie Sands, Director of Digital Development for Access Inteligence (Folio’s parent company).

From the program:

Digital media technologies are being built all the time and having profound impacts on the way content and advertising are created and distributed across the Web. The companies behind this development are using it to their strategic advantage—both as a competitive differentiator and as a new licensing opportunity. The MediaNext Demo Day is a fast-paced, entertaining showcase of under-the-hood presentations of these publisher-built technologies. The show-within-a-show will be modeled after VC-led demo events that showcase disruptive technologies in rapid-fire, five-minute pitches. Following the presentations, attendees can mingle with the developers of these ground-breaking technology platforms.

Tempest is Say Media’s award-winning publishing platform, designed to create rich and responsive editorial experiences that bring content front and center. Unlike a general purpose CMS, Tempest is built from the ground up to support the specific needs of the modern digital magazine.
